The Gaur Collection library consists of about 2000 books and catalogs collected over the past thirty years and serves as a research tool for the collection. Besides an extensive collection of the books published in the last thirty years, the library also includes many rare books published in 1940s and 1950s which illustrate the rich history of the development of modernism and contemporary art on the Indian subcontinent. The library also includes catalogs published for every modern and contemporary auction since 1995.
The library is frequently made available to art faculty, scholars and students in area colleges and universities for research.
We are in the process of cataloging the book collection and we hope to have this catalog accessible online on this website within a year. We are also scanning/digitizing catalogs for all gallery exhibitions that are available to us. These will also be made available online to researchers.
